Essie Sleek Stick Nails.

Hey Guys,

In my July GlossyBox I received a packet of Essie's Sleek Stick nails.
I've been meaning to try them for awhile now but lately my nails have been sort of a mess so I have been giving them a break from nail varnish and the lot. Then when they got back to normal my cousins girlfriend painted them and I had to wait for that to wear off.

Anyway I'll stop rambling and get to the point.
I had seen so many people try different versions of these and I thought they looked so simple and nice. There is many different patterns which means you can switch them up whenever you get bored.

The packet I received looked like this:

Instructions:

(As you can see it's that simple.)

The thing I love most about these is that if you are one of those impatient people who can't stand waiting for nail-varnish to dry, these couldn't be more perfect. Just a quick stick on your nails and your ready to go.

How they look:

Before:

After:

Also if doing something fancy with your nails isn't your cup of tea simply because it's to much hassle you can get away with these if you have five minutes to spare.

The only downside is that some of them may be a bit to big for your nails so you might have to cut the pieces a bit just to get them to fit. The only nail I had a problem with was my little nail so this isn't to much of a problem.

Has anyone tried these before? Let me know in the comments.

My experience at The International Makeup Academy (TIMA)

Hey Guys,

So as I said in my last my post last week I went and studied makeup for 3 days at The International Makeup Academy.

They have so many courses to choose from but I decided the best one for me was 'The Intro to Makeup' course.

I was nervous at first because I had no idea what to expect but as soon as I got there, I suddenly felt at ease. We were thought by the lovely Anne Morrissey, who gave the place such a lovely and friendly atmosphere.

It was crazy to think we would learn so much in 3 days. In the course I completed we studied cleansing and toning the face, how to identify skin types, day make up looks, evening makeup looks, bridal looks and so much more.

Within the three days we learned so much and practiced so many looks. I couldn't have been happier with my experience there and would seriously urge anyone wanting to study makeup in Ireland or even abroad to consider TIMA as you get so much personal time with Anne and learn so much that you think already know!

The next few pictures are of the work that we did during the course.

(Airbrushing)

(Blending)

(Bridal Makeup)

If you are considering makeup as a career you must consider TIMA as it was such an amazing experience and I'm sure anyone who has the slightest interest would love it!

Trip to Dublin Zoo.

Hey Guys,

If you follow me on Twitter you know that I wasn't posting last week as I was away. I was in Dublin as I decided doing a makeup course at The International Makeup Academy was the right thing for me to do. (I may do a review of my experience if people want to hear about it?)

While being up there I had two free days and myself and my family decided on the last we would take a trip to the zoo.
Now I don't know if it's just me but for some reason the zoo seems so much more exciting when you're that bit older. Don't get me wrong it's just as exciting when your a kid but being a big child at heart, I couldn't have been more excited to go.

In Ireland we don't tend to have great weather during the summer but during the last few weeks we have been enjoying a bit of a heatwave. On Friday the heat was so strong in the zoo that most animals were in the shade keeping cool so it was pretty hard to see a lot of them.

Saying this I thought I'd share with you a few of the animals we were lucky enough to catch a look at.

*Be warned the next half is very picture heavy*

Near the end of the day there was a lot more animals but I was seriously melting from the heat that it just got to hard to keep up and take pictures. All I could think about doing was sitting in a bag of ice!

If you like these kind of lifestyle blogs let me know and I'll try do some more.

Rimmel Apocalips Review - Nude Eclipse

Hey Guys,

Hope you're all enjoying this great weather as much as I am!

Awhile ago I was heading out for a family party and needed to pick up some new makeup bits. I have been wanting one of Rimmel's Apocalips lip lacquers for awhile now but said I'd wait till I knew I needed one.
So when I was picking up some things I grabbed one in 'nude eclipse.'

I'm not crazy about things on my lips but I'm trying to get myself out of that habit as a lot of the time lips can complete a makeup look. To start I thought the best way was to get a very light, neutral colour. If you aren't crazy about wearing colours on your lips this is perfect. It is a light nude shade which is super pigmented so it shows you have something on your lips, yet nothing to over the top.

Also I have never been crazy about lip-glosses as they are always too sticky and I just can't stand the feel of them on my lips. This is completely different. As it's a lip lacquer it has a shine like a lip-gloss but more of a lipstick feel without being overly drying.

With such a range of colour these are perfect for anyone looking for a new lip colour from light shades to bright shades.

Have you tried Rimmels Apocalips?

Style Icon - Mollie King

Hey Guys,

Did you ever see a celebrity and just automatically think 'I want their wardrobe.'?
For me this person is Mollie King.

I was never a huge fan but after watching the band's reality show Chasing the Saturdays, I instantly fell in love.

If you are in a girl group that is in the public eye a lot, there's no denying that you're going to have a good sense of style. One reason I think Mollie has the best style is because she wears affordable outfits.
Most clothes you see her in can be picked up from most shops such as Zara, H&M and so on.

Another thing I love is that she doesn't complicate an outfit. She doesn't go over the top, just uses a simple bag or belt to make what she is wearing that bit better.

Any girl of any age can wear what she wears and I feel this works as The Saturdays fan base goes from all ages.

Is there any Celebrity styles you are loving at the moment?

A Place of Beauty

Hey guys,
Do you know those days where nothing is planned and you just think it's going to be another day at home? Yeah that was today. Nothing to exciting was happening so myself, my mam and my sister decided we would go for a stroll to Edenvale, a forest like trail close to our house.

This place is simply lovely during the day as it's full of lakes, waterfalls and old trails.
It's close enough to my house it's easy enough to go there, yet I never do it that often.

The next part of this post is very picture heavy so enjoy.

(Yes Tanyia, you would make a great monkey...)

(Dramatic walkaway...)

Hopefully you can see why I think this place looks so nice from my pictures and if there is any place you love to go when bored/want to clear your head share it in the comments below.
