Pearl Maria's Christening - 03-08-2014

Hey guys,

So this Bank Holiday Weekend me and my family hiked up to Cork to see the new addition to our family be christened.
It was such an exciting day as we haven't had a little baby in the family for 11 years!

The day was such a great one and the whole family was in such a great mood. Pearl was such a little cutie and she couldn't have looked anymore beautiful.

Family events mean so much to me as it's always such good fun when we get together and the christening was no exception.

Congrats to my Uncle and Aunt for having such a precious little girl.

For my outfit I didn't want anything to out there. Just something a little classy. I was in River Island when I spotted the perfect dress.

Dress - River Island
Shoes - New Look

Once I saw this dress I knew it had to be mine so there was no stopping me from going to the counter to purchase it.

The day was filled with lots of food and plenty of laughs and I hope the rest of my family enjoyed it just as much as me.

Heres a few more snaps from the day

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - 11-06-2014

(I do not take credit for these last 2 photos as they were not taken by myself)

Well Hello..
I have to say it feels a bit strange to be doing this again. It's been 3 months since I last posted on here. (Yikes!)

So why did my blog disappear of the face of the earth? Good question, and to be honest I have no actual answer. Between getting a job and not having time and losing internet I just got used to not blogging..

Anyway less of the awkward 'Hi it's me I'm back..' intro, let me tell you about when me and 6 of my friends grabbed our wellies and heading out to the massive crowd of 35,000 people. (Yes you read that right.)

With plently of festivals hitting it up in irish fields during the summer, you have so many choices of which ones to attend such as longtitude and electric picnic. (A tad raging I won't be attending that one!) As soon as we heard Macklemore and Ryan Lewis would be heading to Marley Park we knew straight away we had to go.

The day worked out perfect. The sun beaming out of the sky and 7 delighted girls. Until we arrived and it poured from the heavens. We didn't let this ruin the day though and without a care in the world walked around like drowned teletubbies, thanks to out €2 ponchos.

The day consisted of 4 acts - Angel Haze, Danny Brown, Ellie Goulding and the duo themselves.
Although we just missed Angel Haze and spent most of Danny Brown eating food or queueing for the bathroom we ran straight for the barrier as soon as Ellie Goulding was on. She is such a talented woman with an incredible voice and energy I can't even explain. Ellie definitely got the crowd going for the lead act.

As soon as Macklemore hit the stage the crowd erupted and even though there were some technical difficulties this didn't stop us. The crowd belted out some of his best hits and couldn't get over how great it was to see him live!

If you were at Marley Park for this gig you know it was nothing short of amazing and if not you should most definitely grab tickets to his next gig.

Have you been to any festivals this summer? Let me know below!

Summer Road Trip #1 - Haunted Halls, Beaches and Lighthouses.

Hey Guys,

The weather in Ireland has actually been so lovely the last while so Clodagh and myself took to her car and headed off on a bit of road trip. We ended up going to Loftus Hall, some beaches and Hook Lighthouse. It was so nice and relaxing and the weather was such a plus.

Loftus hall is a mansion in Wexford that is mostly known for being haunted by the devil and a ghost. (Weird huh?) It has been closed for many years but over the last while has re-opened and holds tours every so often. We didn't actually go in for a tour but plan on doing so later this summer.

We then headed to Hook Head Lighthouse which is just up to road from Loftus Hall. The area itself is so nice and if anyone finds themselves down in these parts it is definitely worth the visit.

I hope do more of these road trip blogs coming into the summer so hopefuly the weather stays this nice.

Hey Guys,

Recently I was in River Island and spotted so many nice things. With Spring returning, colours are also popping back up  into shops. I have seen a lot of light pinks and Corals around which I am loving as there is so many ways to mix and match the colours.

Here are some of my favourites that are available from a River Island close to you or online.
Blazer - €65
Necklace - €20
Bag - €37
Skirt - €33
Shoes - €75
Purse - €20

What do you guys think of the light pink/ coral colours?

White Chocolate and Raspberry Brownies

What You will need:
  • 250g White Cooking Chocolate
  • 75g Butter
  • 125g Caster Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 150g Plain Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 125g Raspberries
 What to do:
  1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees. Boil kettle and place water into sauce pan. Use 175g of white chocolate, put in bowl and place over saucepan to let the chocolate melt.
  2. Whisk together the butter and sugar until it has a fluffy look about it. Add in eggs and vanilla extract and whisk together, then stir in the melted hot chocolate.
  3. Fold in the flour and salt and when this is completed cut up the remaining pieces of chocolate and add in white the raspberries. Mix together and your mixture is complete.
  4. Grease some baking paper and put around a square cake tin. Move mixture from your mixing bowl to the tin and put in the oven for 30 -35 minutes.
One thing about brownies is that the inside should be a little bit more gooey than the outside. Mine ended up being a little to firm but you can check them by putting a knife through the middle and if it's clean they are ready.

If you decide to make these let me know in the comments.
Till next time

*This recipe comes from a cookbook called 'Cookbook for Girls' but has been put into my own words*

The Best Of The Golden Globes 2014

Yes ladies, it is back to that time of year where we anxiously await each award show to watch out for the best/worst dressed on the red carpet. This year the Golden Globes has kicked it all off with dresses that can only amaze.

From designers such as Christian Dior. Versache, Gucci, Oscar De Le Renta rocking the runway and celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence, Margot Robbie, Taylor Swift getting to flaunt them. It really is no surprise that people stay up to the crack of dawn to watch.

Overall I was very impressed with the designs on the runway. Jennifer Lawrence had quite a Disney look about her dress being compared to Ariels handmade outfit. Celebrities such like Margot Robbie and Amy Poehler worked the very simple classy looked but none the less looked flawless doing it.

There were a few misses on the red carpet but for now we will only talk about the good. This is only the start of the award season and I for one cannot wait to see what the next one has in store.

Till next time.

Urban Decay Shattered Face Case

Hey Guys,

Considering I am a lover of beauty it was to be expected that I would be getting a few make-up bits for Christmas. One of the pieces I received was the Urban Decay Shattered Face Case. From the moment I opened it I knew I was going to love it.

There is two parts to this case including 5 eye-shadows, 2 Blushers, a highlighter, a lip colour and an eye pencil. The colours in this palette are perfect for a soft look or a dramatic look and has everything you need in one handy little case.

I am not the greatest blush fan as I already have reddish cheeks so a lighter blush would have been handy but other than that this is the perfect palette if you are in a rush while getting ready. It is also small which means it's perfect for packing in your bag when going out.

Have you tried Urban Decays Shattered Face Case? If so what were your thoughts?
 Till next time.
