Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

Hey Guys,

Beauty Blenders/Sponges seem to be really popular these days. Nearly all beauty gurus rave about them. I had always wanted to try one but personally, €20 seemed a bit excessive for a sponge. Then I heard Real Techniques were bringing out one of their own. Let me tell you, I was way to excited when I heard this and popped into my local Boot's to grab one as soon as I could.

This sponge says it will make your base flawless and give HD results. For me, it's pretty obvious if a brush/sponge works when applying makeup. I mean the truth is literally in front of you. It either gives a nice finish or it doesn't. Simple as. Let me tell you the complexion sponge does work. As you can see from the pictures it has a few different parts. A flat surface, a pointed end and rounded edges. I apply my foundation using the flat surface, blend in concelar using the pointed end and make sure my whole base is perfect using the rounded edge,

I'm not going to say it makes my face super flawless but it blends well and spreads the product easily. As it's a sponge it does soak up a small bit of product but it's a sponge and that's what they do, right? Even though it soaks up a small amount, it's not enough to make you care that much. Real Techniques made a great new product to add to their line and for only €5.90 it's easy to see why it works just as well as any other beauty blender.

If you want to know more about this product and how it works this video has all the answers.

Have you tried Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge?

  8. I really need to get my hands on one of these they look amazing! I've heard if you dampen the sponge first it gives a nicer finish and doesn't absorb so much product, is that true?

    1. To be honest I haven't tried that but I washed it the other night so it might not absorb as much now. :) x
