Stila Stay All Day Foundation Review

Hey Guys,

It's been a little while since I have wrote a post down to work and just having a rough couple of weeks but I'm back now and ready with a list of post. I feel like I'm always apologising for not blogging consistently but sometimes things just get in the way.

Today I'm going to be raving about Stila's stay all day foundation which I swear by! This foundation is perfect if you feel most just slide of your face or ends up looking a bit blotchy before the day is out. Stay all day gives a fresh look to your skin without looking too cakey. The feel is a little heavier than other foundations, but you know this product is going to last you the day.

Stila has a wide range of colours starting from 1 - Bare (Shoutout to us pale girls) to 16- Cocoa so there is quite the variety to chose from.

When Applying I like to use the little spatula to glide the product onto my skin and then use a beauty blender to give that flawless finish. Before applying the foundation I like to use Stila One Step Corrector as my primer which makes it everlasting and tends to cover any redness I have in my skin.

The thing I love about this and which makes it different from most Foundations is that in the lid, you also get a little concealer tester which matches your chosen shade perfectly. As well as that you also get a Stila #35 brush which is great to apply the concealer with.

You can purchase Stila Foundation from Sam McCauley's stores, from there online website or from third party websites such as  beauty bay.

Have you Tried Stila's Stay All Day Foundation? Let me know in the comments below.

Friday Fashion Fix

 /Hat/ /Coat/ /Jumper/
                        Hey Guys,
Happy friday! Theres no better way to kick off the weekend that having a quick look at some great fashion bits! (Especially when it's payday! whoop.)

As the weather is getting a little bit icier, I thought I would go for some cute winter bits.

My favourite piece from this post is the jacket and the boots. Even though they are simple items they can make a dull outfit look that little bit more dressy/comfortable.

I have linked each of the items so if you think you would like to check them out you can have a little look.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Amsterdam 2015

Hey Guys,

So I am recently just back from Amsterdam and all I can say is it is one of the most beautiful place. Myself and 4 of my friends headed over for a girly trip away. Weather wise we didn't know what to expect but we arrived on the most amazing day. It did get colder as the days went on but it wasn't as bad as expected.

We headed over on Thursday morning and left Sunday morning. We had planned to go to most of the must see tours and museums and had booked The Anne Frank tour before leaving. This was the best decision we had made because the queues when we got there were unbelievable.

The hotel that was book was something so crazy! It was fully kitted out with a smart TV, fancy sofas and the comfiest beds. Not bad for somewhere we would only be spending the night! It was called Aparthotel which is based like a hotel but the rooms are more or less apartments. Its about a 5 minute train journey from Amsterdam central and I would seriously recommend checking it out if you are considering heading over.

The first night we headed to the read light district and it was nothing like I expected. There was something a tad creepy about it, probably because it was late at night but at least I can say I've been there. The heineken Tour was definitely the highlight for me as we had the best fun. You are shown how the whole process works and what exactly goes into the beer. You also get 2 tokens to get 2 free pints at the end. This is where myself and the girls had the most fun. Dancing and singing to the music that was playing and just having the general craic with the barmen.

As well as the tours they city itself is one of the most beautiful things. All the buildings have a antique look about them and stand on a sort of slant which makes them look a bit wonky. The whole place is built around canal after canal which makes everything look that little bit more pretty.

If you are thinking of Amsterdam as a trip I would seriously advise you to just go and book it. It is as cheap and as fun as you make it and a trip you will definitely not forget.

The Travel Essentials

Hey Guys,

On Thursday myself and a group of my friends are travelling across the water and heading to Amsterdam. If there was ever a spontaneous trip, this is it.

While packing I said I might as well show you guys some of the essentials that I will have in my bag.

1. The Bathroom Kit

As we are only going to be in Amsterdam for 3 days there is no point in travel with massive shampoo and deodorant bottle and having your moisturiser take up all your bag space. This is why the travel size options are the handiest, I picked mine up in boots which had a 3 for 2 offer.

2. Downsizing the make-up and hair options

We are going hand luggage which means space will be tight. Knowing there is no point in bringing every piece of make-up I own its best to keep to the most needed pieces. This means sharing out who is bringing what eye-shadow palette and who brings which hair tool. No point in having 3 of the same thing when it's not needed and being stuck for space.

3. Choosing the right outfits

It's hard to choose with this time of year because we don't know what kind of weather to expect. Is it going to be the same as at home? Is it going to ice cold? I've decided to just bring what I would wear at home. Hopefully it'll be the right choice! Also I'm keeping it to what is needed. Recently me and some of the girls jetted to Santa Ponsa and I for one can say I definitely over-packed and did not wear half the stuff I brought.

What would be your travel tips for anyone heading off?

Top 5 Irish Snapchats

Hey Guys,

I am obsessed with snapchat. I am pretty sure I follow more bloggers/youtubers than actual friends on it just because I am incredibly nosey and like to see what other people get up to during their day. Here are my top 5 Irish beauty/fashion gurus you should be following:

                                 Grace Mongey aka facesbygrace23

Grace is mostly known for her youtube channel and her blog facesbygrace which I am a huge fan of. She has studied makeup and now goes to some of the biggest beauty and fashion events within Ireland. Her snapchat story is like my bible (in a seriously uncreepy way) when I'm sitting at home or  have just finished a long day at the office. Her snapchats are so down to earth and so real so there is no better woman to follow for that.

Rosie Connolly aka rosieconxxx

I first came across Rosie through her blog hearts, heels and handbags and have been obsessed ever since. Her make-up, hair and fashion is always so up to scratch its crazy! Also her son is the cutest thing in the world. He also shows up in her snaps quiet a bit.

Erika Fox aka retroflame1

The Irish girl living it up in the Big Apple! Her snaps are always full of fantastic parts of NYC, as well as many of her fabulous wardrobe pieces. I always get so jealous when I look at her snaps just from all the great places she gets to visit while living in NYC.

Terri Mcevoy aka tmcevoy24

If there is someone's snapchat I am constantly checking up on at the minute, it's Terries. She is currently making her way through Thailand and the snaps actually make me want to hop on the next plane and join her. Anyone thinking of travelling to Thailand should seriously follow her because you will be on the next flight over after looking at those snaps.

Marissa Carter aka cartermarissa

You probably all recognise Marissa as the brains behind Cocoa Brown Tan. Her snaps are always full of inspiring quotes and the biggest beauty tips. (Tantouring is Genius!) Her snaps will literally be your beauty bible once you get stuck in.

Let me know who your favourite snapchatters are and if I should be following any of them!

Nails: Elegant Touch Totally Bare

Hey Guys,

I am in love with having long nails. For awhile acrylic nails were my obsession, then my nails started to get weak and damaged so it was time to take a break. After some time they became strong but money was tight so getting acrylics back on went out the window. That is when I came across these beauties.

Elegant touch have a wide range of fake nails from bare, one toned colours and nail art packs. Each pack comes with 48 nails with 10 different shape. This means you can get up to 2 uses per pack.

The reason I chose the bare nails is because you can easily reshape them and decide which colour you want to use.

For myself the stiletto shape is a small bit pointy and long for my liking. For this I grab a scissors, trim them down to the size I prefer and reshape them. This process is so simple and only take a couple of minutes.

I had a huge disaster when painting them as my nail varnish spilt all over my bedsheets (thank god it was clear!) so I could not get a snap of the finished colour look. You will be able to see the finished colour over on my instagram in the next couple of days. :)

Have you tried any of the elegant touch range?

The Room Tour

Hey Guys,

Today I thought I would show you a little insight into my room. My room is no way big or perfect but when we moved I said I wanted to make it somewhere I could go to relax and unwind after a day of working.

When starting it was mostly sorting out colour and picking out little pieces to match. For the walls I went with a standard white colour. From there it was deciding what kind of pieces I wanted around to make it homely and cosy.

Due to the white walls the best way to go was bright colour ornaments like flowers, candles and fairy lights.

My favourite thing is my photo frame collage pictured above. The frame itself is one I picked up from a pound shop and then got magazines and cut out my favourite pieces. Along with that there are some fun family photos.

The lamp shade then brightens up the entire room and I find it separates between the white ceiling and walls.

Interior is always a fun way of making your room suit your personality so might as well make it how you want.

The Greatest Scrub?

Hey Guys,

Recently I purchased Palmers Cocoa body scrub. One thing I love trying to keep my skin as fresh as possible. Sometimes it can be hard, but once you get into a routine its just part of your normal day.

In the past couple of weeks my skin had been looking a little dull and felt a bit worse for wear. On one of my trips to Superdrug (trust me, there are many) I spotted this. Now I am a big fan of Cocoa butter moisturiser just purely because it smells amazing. This product is exactly the same.

With its mix of crushed cocoa beans and shea butter, this palmers scrub aims to exfoliate, refine, polish, moisturise and smooth skin. I can say that that is exactly what it does.

I am one of those people who gets a few lumps and bumps on the tops of my arms and within one use they had started to fade. My skin had never felt fresher.

With some exfoliaters they can be a tad harsh and rough on skin but this is the exact opposite. With removing everything you need it to remove such as tan and dead skin, it is also so gentle on skin.

If you suffer from dry skin or feel it needs a bit of a pick me up I couldn't recommend this enough.

You can pick it up from your local superdrug store starting from around €6.78/£4.99

Stuck in a rut....

Do you ever just get in one of those moods and you just don't know how to shake it off? That's exactly how I'm feeling at the minute. Sometimes it's just one of those things that lasts for a few hours but other times its a little bit more than that.

At the minute I'm not sure where I'm going or what I'm doing. Seeing everyone around you moving up in the world and you still stuck where you started quiet awhile ago is hard. Don't get me wrong it is so so amazing to see everyone you love going places and I don't mean to sound anyway selfish but it also make you wonder what's out there for you and where are you going wrong?

I haven't written on my blog in over a year but sometimes you just need to write how your feeling down and let it out. I know this feeling isn't going to be around forever
